A Special Education Online Resource Guide
We have developed this digital/online resource for parents and and educators to use as a guide primarily for Spotsylvania County, VA and surrounding areas. This website was designed so it could be linked to a county or school website. Here you will find laws and regulations, professional ethics, forms and procedures from the school division that are related to special education as well as an overview of the most common disabilities. A separate section for talented and gifted students has been added. The information is available in English, German and Spanish.
PurposeWe believe in providing all children with every opportunity possible to achieve their highest potential in life. In order to do so, some children need more help than others.
A disability affects the entire family and today's active lifestyle sometimes makes it difficult to find the time to research efficiently while dinner is burning and the next therapy appointment is waiting. We have created this website to consolidate information on services available to the Spotsylvania County community in Virginia hoping to save busy families time - time that is better spent with your children and family.
